French Leave Beach is also known as Club Med Beach. The remains of the old Club Med remains -- closed down after it was destroyed by Hurricane Floyd in 1999. The Club Med resort was the most popular resort on the island in the 90s. There is a new French Leave Resort located on the bay in Governor's Harbour. This mile long cresecent beach is a popular destination by those staying in and around Governor's Harbour. Excellent location for swimming and snorkeling.
