This flag pole is flying the Bahamas' National flag - first visible when arriving at Cupid's Cay from the Haynes Road culvert at Governor's Harbour. Cupid's Cay is a historical landmark on Eleuthera Island and for the Bahamas as a whole. Located on the western side of the island, Governor’s Harbor and Cupid’s Cay are
sheltered from the stronger Atlantic winds and currents, and therefore the major storms that affect the island.
