These are restored photos and postcards of Eleuthera generally ranging from the 60s through the 70s. Eleuthera has a long history of being a top choice for vacationers traveling to the Bahamas because of its many miles of magnificent unspoiled beaches and the warm hospitality of its people. A vacation to Eleuthera is truly an unforgettable experience.
A few historical facts: French Leave Resort occupied one of the many fine beaches on Eleuthera. It later became Club Med Resort and Hotel which is now closed. Pineapple Fields Condos Hotel, just south of the old Club Med, is the closest hotel in operation and is adjoined by Tippy's Restaurant. Tranquility Bay Resort is closed. Just north of it is Coco di Mama Beachfront Resort and Restaurant located on the magnificent Alabaster Beach. The Buccaneer Club Resort and Restaurant is now closed.
