Traveling to Eleuthera just got easier now that Delta Air Lines is going to add a new nonstop service from Atlanta to North Eleuthera, which is also the primary airport used for air travel to Harbour Island. This new route starts at a perfect time vacationers wanting to spend their summer vacation on Eleuthera or visit the pink sands beach on Harbour Island.
On June 16, 2007, Delta Airlines is adding two new routes between Atlanta and George Town, Exuma and North Eleuthera, in the Bahamas Out Islands. Travelers can start planning their Bahamas vacation with special roundtrip fares starting at $199 each way. These new flights are operated by Delta Connection carrier Atlantic Southeast Airlines. Departures originate from Delta's primary hub at Atlanta International Airport (ATL).
The tentative flight schedule for North Eleuthera Airport (ELH) is Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays. Flight 4457 from Atlanta to North Eleuthera will depart at 11:15 am and arrive on the island at 1:26 pm. Flight 4458 will return to Atlanta leaving the island at 2:06 pm and arriving in Atlanta at 4:21 pm on Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Update July 25, 2008 - While Delta may not have made this official at this time, their “Worldwide Timetable Effective July 1, 2008” indicates service to North Eleuthera airport (ELH) and George Town Exuma will be / has been discontinued effective August 2, 2008 (reference July, 2008 schedule: http://images.delta.com/delta/pdfs/flight_schedules.pdf.
